The MoreLKS software programme includes 20 lesser known cameroonian timbers and a number of end uses relevant for the Cameroonian local market. The user of the programme can compare the qualities of cameroonian lesser known timbers with a wide range of other timbers as he seeks suitable timber fo a specific application. The revised MoreLKS programme is designed to provide the Cameroonian timber sector with a tool to promote timbers which are currently difficult to sell. If the promotion of the programme is successful, the sector can broaden the range of species harvested. this contributes to sustainable forest management by leaving sufficient trees of each timber species apart for future yields.
