These proceedings provide an overview of recent trends in rain forest management in Cameroon and other West and Central African countries (Central African Republic, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea), with a focus on management planning and societal aspects. Special attention is also given to the legal context, to ecological aspects and to lesser-known timber species.
