TBI Viet Nam holds a  successful final phase two workshop

TBI Viet Nam held its final workshop of phase two on April 17th, 2012 in Hue, Viet Nam. The overall objective of the workshop was to evaluate the obtained results compiled by TBI Viet Nam, and to introduce the programme’s orientation thru 2016.

A diverse range of workshop participants from various sectors and fields constructed the workshop as a platform to discuss the results of TBI Viet Nam, especially those whose work relates to forest conservation and development in the North Central region. Furthermore, participants had a chance to evaluate the impacts of the FLA policy on the livelihoods of local people and the abundance of forest resource, and look for feasible alternatives to the current conditions. They were also able to discuss the potential success of PES and REDD in Viet Nam. Through the discussions, TBI Viet Nam collected useful information to improve its research for the future.
