Roderick Zagt


As programme coordinator, Roderick coordinates and gives support to programmes and projects about sustainable land use and inclusive governance, with special focus in Viet Nam and Indonesia.

Roderick is a forest ecologist, his professional interest is in tropical forest and landscape management in a broad sense, in particular how policies and practices impact on biodiversity, forests and livelihoods. Roderick’s experiences range from forest certification, conservation, community forestry to trade issues in forest products and the role of forests as part of wider landscapes.

Roderick joined Tropenbos International since 2003. Prior to that he was programme director in the Tropenbos Guyana Programme, and a PhD student there.
