Rural households have traditional knowledge and practices for their community organization and management, and the allocation and redistribution of income from different activities. A study in the areas of Kisangani-Yangambi and Kisangani-Ubundu Kisangani-Ituri, revealed that the economic revenues are low and most of them are allocated for food.
This situation affects negatively their local development which they believe is an exclusive mission of the State. It is therefore essential that the public policy of rural development takes into account the local context.
