This document invites teachers from educational institutions and trainers from SENA to get acquainted with the tropical dry forest, explore it with their students and start a reflexion regarding its use and conservation. This document includes eight chapters: general aspects of the tropical dry forest, river basins, management of the functional biodiversity, forest restoration, use and conservation of the biodiversity, design of agroecological plots, restoration of soils and fertility management, biodiversity and agrobiodiversity, and agroforestry and silvopastoral systems.
