On Tuesday 29 March the Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation and Tourism visited the office of Tropenbos International in DR Congo.
Tropenbos International in DR Congo organized a small “cocktail” in honor of the visit of the Secretary General who expressed to be grateful for the collaboration of the international partners with the Congolese Government. The visit took place during the community forestry course organized by Tropenbos International in collaboration with the Centre for Development Innovation from Wageningen University in The Netherlands. Several officers from the same ministry participated in the course as the ministry considers community forestry to be an important element of the Forest Law to be implemented in favor of the rural population depending largely on the goods and services provided by the extensive Congolese forests.
