Critical look at what has been obtained in 2009

In order to review and discuss the interim results and plans of TBI research projects in 2009, and to set the contours for “ Assessment of the consequences of forest land allocation as a tool for improving livelihoods and forest quality”, TBI Viet Nam will organize an annual meeting on 22 January 2010 in Hue city.

At the meeting, research partners will present the progress made, initial products, and the plan for year 2010 focusing on the obtained and expected results for policy and practice. This is a good opportunity for related partners to exchange information, discuss common interest for creating synergy within and among projects. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to explore the linkage of forest and poverty from a brainstorming, discussion section.

With a wide range of participants, including TBI partners and stakeholders(Universities, research institutes and Nature Reserves), there will be focused discussions from which useful inputs can be collected for more appropriate and demand-driven research in the coming time.
