TBI is governed by an international General Board composed of reputable Dutch and international experts drawn from the research, policy, business and development communities.

The General Board of Tropenbos International consists of maximal 17 members which are selected on their personal title taking into account their specific expertise on tropical forests, policy or business. The current members of the Board are:
